This spacious detached property is an ideal family holiday home just one and a half miles from the sailing mecca of Salcombe and the stunning coastline and beaches of the South Hams. Located on the edge of Malborough which has two great pubs and village shop, this spacious holiday home provides a superb base for a holiday in Devon, from which to explore the
local area including Hope Cove with its golden beaches only a short distance away. Salcombe with its shops, quays, restaurants, pubs and superb beaches is the jewel of the South Hams. In summer the estuary becomes a boat lovers haven, mixing luxury yachts, powerboats and racing dinghies. Seasonal activities include regattas, fishing, water skiing, a water treasure hunt and even a sandcastle building competition. Walking in this area is spectacular whatever the season, over cliffs, headlands and woodland owned by the National Trust.
Accommodation:
Front door to hallway. Spacious most attractive living room, very comfortably furnished with large sofas, chair and footstool that surround a feature stone hearth inset with an electric wood burner effect stove. 32" TV with DVD and a CD/cassette player. The room extends into the dining area with dining table to seat 8 and door to the conservatory. The conservatory overlooks the garden and is provided with chairs and a table. The well equipped and fitted kitchen has eye level double ovens, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, larder fridge, a dresser and table with benches. Utility room with butler's sink, washing machine, freezer and door to the garage.
Downstairs bedrooms: Two attractive double bedrooms both with 4ft 6in beds and fitted cupboards. Family bathroom with avocado suite comprising bidet, basin, bath with shower over and WC. Separate cloakroom with WC and hand basin.
Upstairs bedrooms: Twin bedroom with 3ft beds, fitted cupboards and a fold up single futon suitable for a child. Attractive double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and fitted cupboards. Between the two rooms is a new shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. This property may be suitable for walking/disabled, (there is just one step to the front door).
Outside: An open driveway provides good parking for 3/4 cars in front of the property. Steps lead down to a path that extends around the side of the house to the front door. The garden is fully enclosed, laid to lawn with border shrubs and there is a paved patio provided with garden furniture alongside the conservatory.
