The Mill House is a self contained apartment within the grounds of this lovely country house hotel that dates back to the 16th and 17th Centuries. Fingals is not a straightforward hotel, it is a special place with a unique atmosphere and personality with a style that is informal, sociable and easy going. If this is your kind of place you will meet interesting people, put the world to rights and have fun. Set in idyllic surroundings near the River Dart, a mile from the village of Dittisham, its beautifully landscaped gardens are a perfect sun trap where guests can be energetic or relax after a busy day out. The terraced lawns, vine draped verandahs and pergolas give an exotic feel to this tranquil spot. The Mill house, which is separate from the hotel, has been converted from the old farm mill and is full of 18th Century character. The spacious living room has an open fire and is divided into two areas by an interesting low arch. Very comfortably furnished and equipped this cottage provides an ideal base from which to enjoy the special nature of Fingals and its superb facilities.

Accommodation: Front door opens to the delightful spacious split level living room. The sitting area with polished wood floor has 2 comfortable sofas and chair, large flat screen TV with Sky, DVD and video and an open fireplace. A low arch divides this from the kitchen diner with two steps up. Farmhouse dining table to seat 6 is alongside a gas fired Rayburn. The well fitted and equipped kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, larder fridge and fridge freezer.
Door from here to a double bedroom with 5ft bed, fitted cupboard and glazed doors that open to a side patio. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and standard cot storage. Family bathroom (this can be accessed from both the utility room and the family bedroom) has a large double ended bath with central taps, hand shower and shower over, basin in vanity unit and WC.  Family bedroom with double 4ft 6in bed, a single 3ft bed and a child's bed (for use in any room), vanity unit and fitted wardrobes. Separate access to the sitting room.

Outside: Accessed from the double bedroom is a small paved patio area provided with table, chairs and a barbecue. All the facilities of the hotel including the beautiful gardens are available by arrangement with the owner.

Included: Duvets, pillows, bed linen, towels (guests to provide their own swimming towels), cot, high chair, one basket of logs, electricity and central heating.
Central Heating
and Rayburn (gas) from end September to Spring Bank holiday £50 per week.
Pets: One dog welcome. Pet charge £25 per week.
Telephone: Local calls free. Long distance and mobile calls logged and charged on departure.
No smoking in any of the hotel buildings.
Parking: Ample parking in Hotel car park - unloading alongside The Mill.
Beach Blackpool Sands 6 miles. Shop, two pubs and waterside at Dittisham 1 mile.
Totnes 9 miles. Dartmouth 5 miles.
