The Moorings is an impressive development situated on the water's edge of the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and occupies probably the best situation in Kingsbridge. Set in attractive, shared, landscaped and enclosed gardens alongside the estuary, with occasional seating and although not suitable for children's games, they provide an idyllic spot to appreciate the views. All the apartments enjoy these superb views from most of their rooms, balconies and/or terraces with vistas down towards Salcombe, across to the wooded banks and meadows on the opposite side and upstream to the town itself . The town, a short walk, approximately one third of a mile on the level along the embankment, has a wide range of interesting shops, restaurants, pubs and a fine leisure centre. Electric gates secure the entrance to the Moorings and there are designated parking spaces for each apartment and further visitor parking. Good sandy beaches within 5 miles.
An outstanding ground floor apartment, No. 12 is well furnished and equipped to a high standard and the lounge and one bedroom overlook the water. The apartment has its own small patio area with garden furniture.
Accommodation: Large entrance hall. Lovely light and spacious triple aspect 'L' shaped sitting/dining room with stunning views. Very good quality sofa, leather settee and lounger chair, dining table and chairs, French door to gardens and grounds beside the water. Freeview Satellite 40" flat screen TV, video/DVD player, radio and estuary views. Beautifully fitted kitchen/breakfast room with built in electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, two fridge/freezers, washing machine/ tumble dryer, breakfast table and chairs. One double bedroom (5ft bed), with estuary views and an en-suite bathroom and 32" flat screen TV. One twin bedroom (3ft beds) and TV. Further bathroom. Both bathrooms have a bath with shower over, basin and WC.
Outside: Private patio overlooking the estuary with garden furniture. Communal gardens surround the development.
Note: There is no facility for guests' boat storage/mooring.
