The Coastguard Cottages at Lannacombe stand proudly overlooking the beautiful panorama of Lannacombe Bay on the southernmost tip of South Devon, a stunning unspoilt location that comes with its own beach, Ivy Cove.  No. 1 is the end cottage of a terrace of three and is a comfortable and practical, no frills cottage set in a simply glorious spot. The coastal path passes below the cottages and from here there are miles of superb walking along the path that stretches from Dartmouth to Salcombe along craggy cliffs that dip into sandy coves.   Lannacombe beach, a few minutes from the cottage, is a wide sandy bay at low tide, and is a favourite with surfers and families alike. Walking, swimming, surfing and rock pooling are just some of the joys of this location or simply enjoy the peace and spectacular views from the cottage and garden at any time of the year.

Accommodation: Large living room with stunning views out to sea and across to Lannacombe from the bay windows.  This room is comfortably furnished with two sofas, armchair, TV, an open fireplace, large dresser, lots of books and large dining table to seat 7. Door into small, basic kitchen with dishwasher, electric cooker with grill and oven and solid fuel Rayburn (winter use only).  Stairs to the first floor.  Double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, fitted cupboard and wonderful views. Small bunk bedroom with 3ft bunks. Adjacent bathroom with corner bath, hand shower, basin and WC. Stairs to the top floor with a triple bedroom and three 3ft beds and more wonderful views. Access to the cottage is at the rear into a covered yard area.  A good old fashioned WC (a pull-and-let-go) in one corner (no hand basin) and a utility room with sink, washing machine, and fridge freezer in the other.

 Outside:   A fairly rough track (not suitable for low slung cars) leads from Lannacombe Beach to the Coastguard Cottages and the area surrounding them is enclosed by low walls and hedging. The grounds are not divided between the cottages and No. 1 has its own private area to the side of the property and driveway with table, benches and a shed. A raised area at the rear provides a communal clothes line. There is tidy parking for two cars, being mindful that other vehicles will also be using the same parking area. The coastal path runs below the cottages and from here a path leads down to Ivy Cove.

Guests to provide their own towels and beach towels.
Security Deposit £150 is required if booking this property in conjunction with The Watch House (WATCH) and/or 2 Ivy Cove (2IVY).
Heating (electric heaters), basket of logs and coal for the fire from end September to Spring Bank Holiday £20 per week.
Rayburn if required £20 per week (winter use only) includes anthracite coal. Recommended only for those familiar with Rayburns.
